When measurements are provided, this is how and where we measure.
Here is an overview of Measurements
Standard horse size (average):
Headstall = 42" - 36" Bit to bit (Browband 12" front of leather to front)
Breast Collar = 26" to 24" from center to end of tug strap & the center connecting strap that attaches to your girth is 18” to 23” (Not including snap in measurement)
Wither Strap = 24" - 21" (including snap in measurement)
Reins
Roper = 8' to 9'
Split Reins = 7' to 8''
Cob size (average):
Headstall = 38" to 32" Bit to bit (Browband 10.5" front of leather to front)
Breast Collar = 24"to 22" from center to end of tug strap & the center connecting strap that attaches to your girth is 14” to 20” (not including snap in measurement)
Wither Strap =
Reins = 7'
Split Reins = 7'

Breast Collar
Option #1 Take an existing breast collar that you are currently using on your horse, buckle it at the best fit and stretch it out like this picture below. Once stretched out you will be able to measure from the end of one tug strap to the center of the breast collar. This type of measurement is referred to as the "Half w/ tug measurement" and is my preferred method. If you can even send a picture of it stretched out that is also helpful.

Spur Straps
For a proper fit we measure our spur straps from the hole that the spur fits in on one side to the other hole on the opposite side, just like we have shown below in the picture. To make things a little easier, here is a general rule of thumb for shoe sizing chart. Keep in mind that not all shoe companies shoe sizes are the same so these are just averages.
Small (Youth) Spur Straps 6 3/4" to 9":
Child's shoe size - 3 to 7
Woman's shoe size - 5 to 7
Large (Adult) Spur Straps 8 1/4" to 10 1/2":
Woman's shoe size - 7 to 10
Men's shoe size - 9 to 12
Small (Youth) Spur Straps 6 3/4" to 9":
Child's shoe size - 3 to 7
Woman's shoe size - 5 to 7
Large (Adult) Spur Straps 8 1/4" to 10 1/2":
Woman's shoe size - 7 to 10

Dog Collar
Example of how they are measured.
Collars: If you are satisfied with the fit of your dog’s current collar, measure that collar from the center bar of the buckle to the hole that fits your dog the best. Our collars are sized according to this measurement, not to the over-all length of the collar which varies by manufacturer.
If this is your dog’s first collar or you need a collar in a different size, measure around the dog’s neck with an allowance for 2 fingers to fit between the dog and the collar. The collar shouldn’t be so tight that it will cause discomfort or so loose that it slides over the dogs head.
